Maheshwari Dress Material with Cotton Salwar - Red
This is a handcrafted Maheshwari Dress Material with hand block printing.
The traditional process of hand block printing on fabrics has been practiced in Rajasthan for almost 500 years. This process involves making of blocks using wood. Traditionally plant based dyes were used for printing. Today artists use a combination of plant and chemical dyes. To create a print which has several colors, multiple blocks are used in combination, each time with a different coloured dye. This makes the process more tedious and time consuming.
Maheshwari dress materials usually consists of dupatta and top fabric. to make a complete set, a cotton salwar has been added to the set.
